The new Griffith Base Hospital will include an improved emergency department; significant increase in Aged Care and Rehabilitation beds; operating theatres; surgical, and medical inpatient units as well as maternity, medical imaging and paediatrics; expanded outpatient services with more specialist clinics, renal and oncology services.

The State Significant Development (SSD) planning application for the Griffith Base Hospital Main Works has been approved by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE). It is available to view on the DPIE website here.

ADCO were announced as the construction contractor for the Main Works stage in January 2022.

Construction of the Clinical Services Building is expected to be completed in 2025 and will be followed by the demolition of remaining buildings, new car parking and extensive landscaping of the health campus.
